sewa kendra leprocy relief

Sewa Kendra believes that the main challenge in Leprosy Elimination in Nepal is to build local capacity for early detection and treatment of leprosy cases on a regular basis. Therefore, based on the lessons of the School-based Awareness Campaign the Kendra is now poised to initiate similar work in rural communities. For this, the Kendra plans to work with various local organisations such as the local authorities, Mothers' Groups, Female Community Health Volunteer and local Sub Health Posts. While some advances are being made in some nearby communities, this proposal is largely on hold due to continuing insurgency situation in the country.
